SKATE AMOEBE
The aktionsbaustelle SKATE AMOEBE was a perfomance work in cooperation with Marcel Hager/Berlin at the Hans Baluschek Park in Berlin and contributed to the transportale Berlin 2003.
In the 4 weeks of public performance several plaster models were used to discuss and define the shapes and sizes for two caterpillar drivers to dig a ground sculpture in the park, representing
the mere possibility of a buildable concrete skate park for free open access.
The positive public reaction and support was enormous, yet due to unclear property issues, the sculpture could not remain in its place to receive a more permanent concrete finish.
Urban spaces are being used and shared as everybodies personal living room and play grounds, where private and public interests meet and collide with each other.
I like to play with these components.
Below you can find an overview of my public works, with more detailed informations and some more translations to be added soon.
